About Us
Hollowbead Ranch is the name of mine and my Husband's (Lee) Ranch located on a beautiful 50
acres at the top of Colbert Heights Mtn. in Tuscumbia, Alabama. We have a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) named
Dixie, a Silky Terrier named Dallas, and my Miniature Goat Farm. Growing up my family has owned about any kind
of animal you can think of including horses, cats, dogs, ducks, rabbits, and donkeys which covers a lot of your normal pets.
We have also owned Rheas (miniature ostriches), Miniature Horses, Miniature Donkeys, a Baby Alligator once, and even bottle
raised a deer one time, which all explains my love for animals!

Starting in the Goat Business
In February 2007 I decided to get started in the goat business. I started out with a Nubian Doe,
Nubian Buck, and a Brush Doe. Afterwards we tried out Boer goats, but since I am the main one handling the goats (with
my Husband working out of town) we decided that Miniature Goats would be a little easier for me to handle on my
own. So in June 2007 I started raising Unregistered Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmy goats, my goal being to produce quality
minis with as much color as possible! I have been raising minis ever since (with the exception of a few months at the
end of 2008/beginning of 2009 when I had to sell out to allow time for fencing and maintenance), and love it! With my
newest herd I will now be raising strictly registered and unregistered Nigerian Dwarfs! I hope to give milking a try
this go around too!
We are working on alot of new additions to our goat equipment as well as fencing and rebuilding our herd.
So for right now I am just enjoying the many joys of being a "Goat Lady". Please be sure to check out our "Goats For
Sale" Section.
